Yesterday Charles Pollock died in his studio, due a fire ripped fastly around him. Pollock was on his wheelchair and unable to escape. I’m personally really sad about this lost, becouse we’ve lost one of the most talented personality in the world of design. Born in 1930, he became famous in 1963 with his masterpiece, the Executive chair for Knoll. This piece of furniture is still in production and is exhibited in the Louvre and in the Metropolitan NY. Pollock always loved design and was still oparating. Last year he designed a wonderful lounge chair for Bernhardt design. The vintage recall mixed to an extreme contemporary design shows once again his capability to understand the time he’s in and to express it in his works.
